The 60's.

I would not trade the world for the experiences I had in the  60's an early 70's.
The Sunset Strip was ALIVE!

We walked it from The Tripp to Gizzaries,  Back then next to the Whiskey, where the Roxy now is now, was a club called The Galaxy. A small club owned by my friends aunt who also happened to own The Body Shop. Both clubs were on the Strip... one had music and one had naked women ... take your pick?

At The Galaxy, the house band was The Iron Butterfly.  If you haven't heard The Iron Butterfly in a SMALL CLUB ... whoa, what an experience.

Laurel Cyn, Frank Zappa's log cabin on the corner of Laurel and Lookout Mountain... now long gone.
How the hell I ended up one night  at Linda Rondstatd's house still remains a foggy clouded mystery to me to this day... but hell, it was the music scene and she did live on a street right behind the Whiskey.

I didn't realize how much I forgot about The 60's until I found a site that some I knew from that time had. This site, ..The Great Hollywood Hangover is jammed packed with what was going on in the 60's and where some of these people are now.

The link I put in page will take you to page 10, scroll down ... you will see some pictures that I sent Nancy that were shot at Delaney Bramlett's memorial party.  You will see Grammy winner Albert Lee up there on his Red Guitar.

Right now I am listening to a band called The Mescal Sheiks... what a great group... that New Orleans funky sound.  Check them out The Mescal Sheiks... , buy their CD and if you don't like it I'll refund your money. :>)

Ok.. that's it for me...
